Andrew E. Larew is a 28 year veteran of the commercial real estate industry. His depth of expertise ranges the full spectrum from finance and capital markets to workout strategy, litigation, investment, development and property management.

Early on in his career Mr. Larew was a Senior Investment Advisor with Travelers Realty Investment Company. He was responsible for the origination of $100 million of new mortgages and oversight of a $250+ million loan portfolio.

From Travelers, Mr. Larew moved his efforts to foreclosure and loan workout. First for New England Savings Bank (managing and reducing an assigned pool of large balance, problem real estate loans) followed by RECOLL Management Corporation (a division of Fleet Bank, which is now Bank of America), where he managed and directed the liquidation of a portfolio of large balance, real estate assets for an FDIC Receivership.

After RECOLL, Mr. Larew became Director of Finance for the Widewaters Group, Inc. a private real estate company with over 3,000,000 square feet of commercial office, retail, multifamily and industrial real estate, and 65 employees. He was successful in orchestrating and implementing a recapitalization of the company's $125 million of real estate debt over a two year period. The recapitalization included the origination and negotiation of debt, the sale of non-core assets, and the acquisition of distressed property through a 1031 exchange.

In 1996, Mr. Larew re-entered the lending side of the business as a mortgage correspondent with Legg Mason Real Estate Services. Ultimately his success would lead to the formation of his own mortgage banking company and current role as Principal of Larew, Doyle & Associates, LLC in its New York City office.

With over 35 years' experience in real estate finance, acquisitions and development, Alan's career began as an investment manager with institutions such as Citi Bank, Fleet Bank, and Travelers Realty Investment Company (Hartford, CT. / Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./ Boston, Ma). While with Travelers, Alan was a leading mortgage originator (3rd highest in US) in a year which Travelers financed over $4.5 billion in mortgage loans. He subsequently acquired investment property on behalf of Traveler's separate accounts in addition to project managing the development of a 126 room Hampton Inn Hotel in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

From Travelers, Alan was a Vice President with Fleet Bank where he repositioned foreclosed real estate through lease negotiations and overseeing tenant build out on properties located throughout New England, Florida and the Mid-west.

After Fleet Bank, Alan became the Chief Operating Officer for F.H. French Company, a Rhode Island based developer of medical and general office, where he oversaw the development of a 3 story, 106,000 sf class A suburban office building, fully leased to Citizens Bank/RBS.

Alan and Andrew Larew were colleagues at Travelers Insurance Company's CRE division and have been partners in mortgage banking since 2002. The Larew Doyle partnership has successfully originated over $1.5 Billion in loan and equity placements.

Although Alan's market is predominantly Rhode Island, Southern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut, he and his team regularly finance property outside of New England.
